FAQ

I understand that therapy is an investment in your well being. My job is to help you identify your goals and take steps to achieve them so you can live a healthy and fulfilling life as soon as possible.  Email me to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss your goals for treatment and determine if I would be the right therapist for you.

What are your office hours?

My office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. I offer Telehealth visits exclusively to Texas residents and both in-person and Telehealth visits to North Carolina residents.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! I currently accept Aetna Commercial Insurance plans and Aetna NC State health plans. If I’m not paneled with your insurance, I would be considered an out-of-network provider. Many plans offer reimbursement for a portion of the fees paid when using out-of-network providers. Check your benefits and request a detailed statement from me to submit a claim to your insurance company.

How do you accept payment for sessions?

I accept cash, checks, and major credit cards for payment, which is expected at the time of the session unless other arrangements are made.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, if you don’t show up for a scheduled therapy appointment or don’t cancel at least 24 hours in advance, you’ll be responsible for the full session fee. Keep in mind that many insurance companies do not reimburse for missed sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies for each client based on their needs and treatment plan. After our first session, I’ll have a better idea of how many sessions we might need to achieve your goals. After 4-6 sessions, we can reassess where we are and determine how much more time may be needed.

How long are the sessions and what is the cost?

Sessions are 50 minutes long, but I also offer 90-minute sessions and EMDR intensives. Please contact me to discuss the cost of sessions and the availability of sliding scale options.
