Choosing a therapist is an important decision. The relationship you build with your therapist can have a significant impact on your healing and growth. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood while also feeling empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, difficult childhood experiences, relationship challenges, low self-worth, grief, shame, and life transitions. I believe that many of our current struggles are rooted in experiences and messages we received long ago. Together we can explore those experiences, heal unresolved wounds, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
My passion for this work was shaped by my own experience in therapy. Through my personal journey I learned that healing is possible and that greater balance, self understanding, and emotional freedom can emerge even from life’s most difficult experiences. Because of that experience, I understand the courage it takes to ask for help and begin the therapeutic process.
My approach is active, compassionate, and direct. I engage with clients through thoughtful questions, attentive listening, practical feedback, and evidence-based approaches such as EMDR. I enjoy helping clients understand the impact of negative childhood messages, respond more compassionately to their inner critic, and break free from patterns that no longer serve them.
Before opening my private practice, I worked in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, including Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs. These experiences allowed me to support individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges and deepened my understanding of the resilience people bring to the healing process.
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, I spent nearly 20 years living in the Austin area before relocating to Holly Springs, North Carolina with my husband and daughter. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, gardening, paddle boarding, spending time in nature, listening to live music, and traveling.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I would be honored to support you as you move toward a more authentic, fulfilling, and connected life.
