Finding the right therapist you feel comfortable with is a vital part of the journey. A good fit can make all the difference in your therapy experience and outcomes. I am honored to do this work and feel privileged to get to know my clients, hear their stories, and work together to improve their lives.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual therapy, helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges. As a Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist, I offer a treatment that’s especially effective for those who’ve faced adverse life experiences, attachment issues, family of origin struggles, low self-worth, and trauma.
My passion for helping others was ignited through my own therapy journey, where I worked through grief and challenging family dynamics. I learned that it’s possible to feel more balanced, in tune with your emotions, and ready to face life’s challenges head-on. I actively engage with my clients through thoughtful questions, attentive listening, problem-solving, and offering feedback and insights. I’m here to help you unpack negative childhood messages, respond compassionately to your inner critic, and break free from unhelpful patterns.
I’m a native Texan, born and raised in San Antonio. I attended Texas State University in San Marcos and lived in Austin for nearly 20 years. My experience includes working with diverse client populations in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. Before starting my private practice, I was part of Austin Lakes Outpatient Services, where I worked in the Partial Hospitalization Program and the Intensive Outpatient Program.
In the summer of 2024, I made a big life change and moved to Holly Springs, North Carolina, with my husband and 7-year-old daughter. I’m excited for this new adventure! In my free time, I love cooking, gardening, paddle boarding, spending time in nature, listening to live music, and traveling.
